When trying to edit a tag in Talent Intelligence Hub, receive an error：
Error System tag in external id cannot be created or updated.
Environment
SAP SuccessFactors Talent Intelligence Hub
Reproducing the Issue
- Log in to system
- Navigate to Admin Center > Tools > Manage Talent Intelligence Hub
- Select the Tags tab
- Select a tag > Select Edit
- Try to update the name, description, code, or translation > Save
- Receive error
Cause
The tag is a pre-defined tag provided by SuccessFactors
Resolution
The pre-defined tags provided by SuccessFactors (Core, Critical, and Trending) cannot be modified via UI, as shown in the replication steps. More information is in Using Talent Intelligence Hub - Creating a Tag.
But, if you do need to change the translations for pre-defined tags, you can import Tag Text (using "Talent Intelligence Hub Tag Text Import") via Integration Center to update translations. You may refer to the guide here for how to import TIH entities: Importing Entities | SAP Help Portal
