Symptom
Many objects are getting deleted in the system without any employee name showing under the column Deleted by in Administrator work center
Environment
SAP Cloud for Customer
Reproducing the Issue
- Go to the Administrator work center
- Go to General Settings
- Go to Deleted Data
- Observe: The Deleted by column shows empty information.
Cause
In the Business Configuration Settings , the Archiving feature is enabled for the Concern Business Object.
Resolution
Explanation for why the deleted items show no information under the Deleted by column:
Adjust the retention periods to your needs:
- Retention Period Before Archiving: Minimum number of days after the last change is made to a record before it is considered for archiving.
- Retention Period Before Deletion: Number of days a record is kept in the archive before being finally deleted from the system.
Disable Business Checks:
Setting this indicator disables all business checks. As a result, based on the retention period, the system also archives incomplete transactions.
This means it archives transactions even though they are not completed as defined by the business logic.
Note that disabling the business checks is not supported by all business objects.
- Go to the Business Configuration
- Go to Overview
- Search and open Archiving Configuration
- Check the Archivable Business Objects
- The Business object is enable for archiving
