3435080 - Not receiving notification when 'Audit Logs' reaches it's maximum capacity in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)

Symptom

  • What is the limit or maximum capacity for Audit Logs in SAP Analytics Cloud?
  • Not receiving any notification when Audit logs reaches its maximum capacity in SAC.

Environment

SAP Analytics Cloud 2023.21.16

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Login to SAC
  2. Go to Security -> Data changes
  3. Select the model for which you want to track data changes. The data changes are tracked in form of Audit logs in SAC.

Notice that you don't receive any notifications when the Audit logs reaches its maximum capacity.

Cause

Product limitation.

Resolution

Currently there is hard limit for audit logs in SAC. The limit is per table/partition of 2 billion rows by the design of the HANA database, and there is no notification mechanism for the same.
