3435995 - [Onboarding] Users are not synced with IAS when performing Rehire with New Employment

Symptom

While performing Rehire with New Employment, the candidates IAS Sync is not successful when Business Email is removed/not maintained from the candidates profile.

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding

Cause

  • For Rehire with New Employment, business email is wiped out for the person after accepting a rehire in second rehire check. IAS sync for Rehire with New Employment is failing because the sync job is picking email address from old (terminated) user sysinfo. 
  • As email is wiped out from terminated user sysinfo, account provisioning in IAS is failing because email is a mandatory field in Target System.
  • This is a known issue and our Engineering are team are working on a permanent fix for the same.

Resolution

Permanent Fix:

  • The fix is scheduled to be released in 1H 2024 (2405) Release.

Workaround : 

We will have to add the wiped out Email Address in the old User Sys Info

  • In the New Hire Data Review step after the Rehire is Accepted, they will only see the primary email address. 

  • We need to add the business email type with value as personal email address (highlighted the fields which needs to be updated)

  • Once a scheduled HRIS sync job runs, old employment user sysinfo will be updated with the email address set as business email above.
  • Once old employment has the email populated, IAS sync should be successful for this user.
