3436165 - Renamed Dimensions are reset to their original name after transporting a Model to another environment, in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)

• Dimension name reset.
• After transporting a Model based on a Live Data Connection, the renamed Dimensions are reset to their original names, in the Model and Stories based on the Model, in SAP Analytics Cloud.

• SAP Analytics Cloud 2023.21.16

1. In SAP Analytics Cloud, create a Model based on a Live Data Connection.
2. Rename the Description of at least one Dimension.
3. Transport the Model from one environment, to another one.
4. After transporting the Model, notice the Dimension that were renamed, are reset to their original names, in the Model, and in the Stories based on the Model.

•  When exporting the Model, the option "Data" was unchecked.

• To retain the renamed Dimensions in the Model, check the option "Data" when exporting the Model:
       
  
  1. In SAP Analytics Cloud, select "Transport - Export"
  2. Under "Content Network Storage", create a new export, by clicking on the plus sign "+"
  3. In Choose content, select the Model based on a Live Data Connection, to Transport to a new environment.
  4. On the right side of the Model selected, check the option "Data"
  5. Click "Next"
  6. In Set package properties, enter a Name, Description, Details, Destinations,... for your export, and click "Next"
  7. In Review and export, review the information, and click "Export"
  8. In the other SAP Analytics Cloud environment, import the package, and if you have already transported the Model, check the option "Overwrite objects and data"
