3436308 - Unable to Cancel The Customer Contract

When trying to cancel the customer contract, the Cancellation relevant fields are greyed out both on header and item level.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to Sales order work center.
2. Go to the Contracts view.
3. Search and edit contract ABC (ABC represents contract ID).
4. Navigate to General tab and Renewal and cancellation sub-tab.

Under Cancellation section, all relevant fields such as Cancellation Received On, Cancellation Requested For, Cancellation Reason and Cancellation Effective On are greyed out.

The reason why cancellation relevant fields are greyed out and it is impossible to cancel contract ABC is because the fulfillment status is finished for line item.

The fulfillment must be revoked for line item and then it will be possible to cancel the contract ABC on item level and also on header level.

Please follow the below steps to revoke the fulfillment status:

1. Go to Contract ABC (ABC represents contract ID).
2. Navigate to Items tab and choose particular line item.
3. Click on Revoke button and choose Fulfillment.

Now, the relevant Cancellation fields should be editable.
