3436325 - Inbound request error - already got modification listener

Symptom

When trying to import data using odata extensions you noticed failed inbound requests and the Inbound Request Error contains message similar to this one:

An error occurred while attempting to save entries for entityType: Product, with error message already got modification listener de.hybris.platform.servicelayer.internal.converter.impl.ItemModelConverter$MyHistoryListenerAdapter@6ec165ee - cannot set d...

After enabling DEBUG log level (see Configuring Your Log Environment) on package de.hybris.platform.odata2services.odata.errors.CustomODataExceptionAwareErrorCallback you can find in the logs:

Failed to persist item model of [Product] type
already got modification listener de.hybris.platform.servicelayer.internal.converter.impl.ItemModelConverter$MyHistoryListenerAdapter@6ec165ee - cannot set de.hybris.platform.servicelayer.internal.converter.impl.ItemModelConverter$MyHistoryListenerAdapter@355885bc
