Symptom
You want to hide the Pay Component Group in the Manage Pending Hires page.
You considered using the permission role functionality, but did not find the specific permission for this scenario. Therefore, you have defined a rule to hide the pay component group (such as Annualized Salary). But when checking the candidate in Manage Pending Hires, the field is still visible.
Image/data in this KBA is from SAP internal systems, sample data, or demo systems. Any resemblance to real data is purely coincidental.
Environment
Reproducing the Issue
You have a rule that sets pay component group (for example, Annualized Salary) visibility to none.
1. Add a new employee and save draft;
2. Go to Manage Pending Hires, check the candidate and notice the field Annualized Salary is still visible in the Compensation Information section.
Cause
Current system design.
Resolution
It is the expected system behavior. Pay component groups visibility in the Compensation Information cannot be changed by rules. It is controlled by Role-Based Permissions (under Employee Data > Pay Component Groups). However, Role-Based Permissions are not supported in the Hire/Rehire wizards. Therefore, it is not possible to hide these fields in Manage Pending Hires.
