3437623 - What is the Maximum Character limit before a Custom Card gets Truncated?

• You want to know the maximum character limits on custom cards before it gets truncated.
• How can I set up my subtitle so it's not truncated when appearing on screen on both the web and mobile version?

SAP SuccessFactors HXM Core 

1. Go to Manage Home Page.
2. Create/edit a card. 
3. Select card type - Graphic (Small).
4. Enter a long subtitle. 
5. Click on Save.
6. Go to the home page and see that the card's subtitle is truncated/cropped.

SuccessFactors have no character limit for the subtitle as the width is based on a grid system which assigns the width based on the screen size. This is essential to enable responsive behavior based on the screen size.

SuccessFactors cannot provide a standard number of characters before a subtitle gets truncated due to its responsive nature but you can opt to do some tests when creating your custom cards to ensure that a text would not be cropped on the screen resolution that you have. 

Please note that this is already being reviewed for enhancement. As per 3415581 - Homepage cards are not showing the entire subtitle: The product, design and engineering teams are working to revert the subtitle to display on two lines again. 

For now, subtitle truncation are part of the latest design patterns that were revised to align with a new template to be used across the Suite.
