3437999 - Date dimension as 'second' in model in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)

Unable to add granularity as 'second' in date dimension in a model in SAC.

SAP Analytics Cloud Version 2023.21.16

1. Login to SAC.
2. Open the model
3. Under Edit, select Add dimension.
4. Select dimension type as 'date'.
   
   Granularity as 'second' in date dimension in a model is not present.

This is behavior by design.

SAC currently doesn’t offer 'second' as the smallest granularity for the date dimensions. Enhancement request has already been done regarding the time dimension. You can vote for the same: Improvement Request Details - Customer Influence (sap.com)
