Symptom

  • After launching the SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence Platform Setup, the below error occurs:

Installation cannot proceed
The installer cannot proceed because a critical component was not met

  • in setupengine, below errors are seen:

Error: Blocking pre-req failed: Suppressed reboot
Error: Reason: A reboot request is suppressed on the local machine. Reboot the machine in order to proceed with the installation. INS00289
