3438574 - Partial DB users encounter 'Instantiation of calculation model failed' error when previewing specific calculation view

Symptom

  • Following error happens when previewing data of a Calculation view:
    Error: SAP DBTech JDBC: [2048]: column store error: search table error: [34023] Instantiation of calculation model failed
  • After recording authorization trace, you could find the following error:
    Invalid SQL AP definition. Invalid (empty) condition in static filter
  • This error cannot be reproduced by all DB users.
  • In the log, it can be seen that the error is due to the lack of analytic privilege for the BW external HANA view.
