3438778 - Implementation missing for method CHECK_CUSTOM_HDM_ENABLED

We are getting the attached SYNTAX_ERROR in program [ CL_ODATA_CV_UTIL==============CP ] that after investigation, we found that there is a missing standard method [ CHECK_CUSTOM_HDM_ENABLED ] in the Class/Interface [ CL_ODATA_CV_UTIL ]

 What happened?
     Error in the ABAP application program.

     The current ABAP program "CL_STANDALONE_APPL_NAVIGATION=CP" had to be
      terminated because it found a
     statement that could not be executed.
     In include "CL_ODATA_CV_UTIL==============CU        ", in line 317 of program
      "CL_ODATA_CV_UTIL==============CP        ", the following syntax errors
     have occurred:
     Implementation missing for method "CHECK_CUSTOM_HDM_ENABLED".
