3439371 - Revaluation rates are not populating for foreign Currency Valuation

Symptom

Revaluation and Exchange Rates not populating in Foreign Currency Valuation using Perform Foreign Currency Valuation (APP ID FAGL_FCV)/Foreign Currency Valuation Scheduled in app Schedule General Ledger Jobs (APP ID F1927)

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud

Cause

Hotfix to be delivered on the 1st weekend in March

Resolution

With the hotfix the exchange rates will be shown left-aligned.

Because of the change of ALV the exchange rate has 14 decimal places in spool. As the column in spool has a width of 9 characters, the complete number will not fit into the column. As the number is cut of the last character will show ‘…’ instead of a number. This means that after the hotfix there will be one digit less on the right end of the number.

If there is a need to display six digits after the decimal sign, create own layout and use this layout in Foreign Currency Valuation. Here is the procedure to create a layout:

  • Start APP "Perform Foreign Currency Valuation"
  • Go to Tab "Output/ Technical Settings"
  • In section "Log Output", click button "Configure". A sample log will be shown.
  • Use the mouse to extend the column width of the exchange rate columns manually.
  • Click icon "Current Layout" or press keys "Ctrl + F8"
  • Click button "Save As..." to save and provide a different name. In Public Cloud it is possible to create user-specific layouts only. This means that the layout must be created by the user scheduling the application job.
  • In the application job 'Foreign Currency Valuation'  there is a parameter "List Variant". Maintain the name of new layout in this parameter. Run the application job again, and check if the spool has improved.
