3439678 - Cost Object ID Field not Filled While Creating Purchase Order Using Web Service Operation Manage Purchase Order Upload

You are creating purchase order with Cost object ID field using the operation Manage purchase order upload however the field is not filled after the purchase order creation.

1. Go to SOAP UI
2. Enter the payload for operation Manage Purchase Order Upload
3. Fill the necessary details along with Cost Object ID field
4. Execute the web service
5. Go to Purchase Requests and Orders work center
6. Go to Purchase Orders view
7. Select the Purchase Order created via web service
8. Select Edit and navigate to Items tab
9. Select Account Assignment tab
10. Cost Object ID not filled

You are creating the purchase order using the operation ManagePurchaseOrderExcelUpload. This operation is similar to the excel upload. If you look at the purchase order excel upload template, you are only allowed to enter the below Account Assignment Types ; Cost Center, Fund ID, Function ID, Individual Material, Project Task ID, Sales Order, Sales Order Item ID, Service Order, Service Order Item, Customer Contract, Customer Contract Item ID G/L Account. In the excel, the custom object is not allowed to enter in a standard template. Meaning, it is also not possible to enter the cost object ID details through the ManagePurchaseOrderExcelUpload operation. 

This can be taken as a new requirement for development to allow cost object in the ManagePurchaseOrderExcelUpload operation. As a work around you can create purchase order with another operation -  PurchaseOrderBundleMaintainRequest and system will fill the cost object in the purchase order document.
