3440189 - Error "The aggregate COUNT function is not supported" when previewing data for a joined view

Error is raised when previewing a join of two views based on remote tables:

• internal error: Error opening the cursor for the remote database <SPACE.CONNECTION> Error occurred when reading data from entitySet [/ABAP_CDS/CDS_VIEW_NAME/Facts]: The aggregate COUNT function is not supported!

Preview data for the views works fine when done separately.

SAP Datasphere

Depending on SDI's adapter of remote tables, the function may not be supported.

Workaround: Persist remote tables in order to join views using such objects.

After loading a snapshot for the remote tables, modelling of views should no longer be restricted by limited functions.
