3440189 - Error "The aggregate COUNT function is not supported" when previewing data for a joined view

Symptom

Error is raised when previewing a join of two views based on remote tables:

  • internal error: Error opening the cursor for the remote database <SPACE.CONNECTION> Error occurred when reading data from entitySet [/ABAP_CDS/CDS_VIEW_NAME/Facts]: The aggregate COUNT function is not supported!

Preview data for the views works fine when done separately.
