Symptom
- When posting a carrier invoice from SAP Transportation Management, the system uses the carrier invoice date as both the document date and the posting date for the resulting invoice document in Materials Management.
- No separate posting date field exists in the TM carrier invoice interface.
- When the carrier invoice date falls in a closed posting period, the posting fails with error M8535: "Allowed posting periods: &1 for company code &2 and date [invoice date]."
- Possible business scenario: carrier issues an invoice dated the last day of a month and submits it after the posting period for that month has been closed.
