Symptom
When opening a Performance Form in Hebrew, Thai, Japanese, numbers and symbols are thicker compared to the rest of the text in the Performance from title.
Image/data in this KBA is from SAP internal systems, sample data, or demo systems. Any resemblance to real data is purely coincidental.
Environment
- SAP SuccessFactors Performance Management
- SAP SuccessFactors 360 Reviews
Reproducing the Issue
- Have Hebrew, Thai, Japanese enabled as locales in your instance.
- Create a Performance Form.
- Open the Performance Form.
- Numbers and symbols are thicker compared to the rest of the text in the Performance from title.
Cause
The bold typeface of the official SAP font named "72" is only supporting Windows Glyph List languages which include Latin letters, Greek and Cyrillic letters but not Japanese, Chinese, Hebrew or Thai characters. Therefore, it is not the numbers/symbols that are wrongly in bold but rather the rest of the characters that are too thin in comparison, since the typeface has not been designed to support them.
