3440530 - Unable to run a specific import job of a model in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)

• When users with a Custom role try execute the import job in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), it fails with the following message:
  "Import to model ended unexpectedly. Error code: 5021".
• Users have all the required permissions in order to perform actions on a model: the general application permission (via role) to Read, Update, Delete, or Maintain analytic or planning models, and they also have the Read, Update, Delete, or Maintain permission granted via the Sharing Settings directly on the model itself.
• The same users have no problem importing data in other models with the same authorizations. 

SAP Analytics Cloud (Enterprise) 2024.2.6

1. Access the model.
2. Navigate to Data Management then run the import job manually.
3. Failed with error:
   "Import to model ended unexpectedly. Error code: 5021".

This is by Design.

• The Maintain permission on Dimensions is needed in order to update dimension members.
• If a user doesn't need to add or update dimension members during data import process, there is an option in the data import job setting to turn off the update of local dimension members.
  ---> If this option is off, the data import job will succeed even if the user doesn't have permission to dimension.
