Filed to connect to the OLAP source: Unexpected exception while calling the SL service

while trying to invoke the method com.businessobjects.mds.olap.protocol.bics.BICSClient.startStatisticEvent of a null object loaded from field com.sap.sl.proxyconsumption.services.olapaccess object loaded from local variable "this"

• Both JCO and STS log shows:
