Symptom
You are trying to create a Label against a Warehouse Task, but the field Supplier Part Number is missing in the Label.
Environment
SAP Business ByDesign
Reproducing the Issue
- Go to Inbound Logistics work center.
- Go to Task Control.
- Find the relevant Task ID.
- Go to the Execution Details sub-tab, you can see the Supplier Part Number is displayed.
- Select the New Labels option and a new window opens.
- Go to the Inbound Information sub-tab.
- You can see under the Logistics Details section the Supplier Part Number field is empty.
- Go to the Common Task and select "Labels".
- Show "All Label by Selection" and enter the relevant Label ID.
- Click View.
- In the Label Overview, you can see that the Supplier Part Number is also empty.
Cause
Supplier part number is stored in Inbound Delivery Notification when we create Labels with reference to the Inbound Delivery Notification and we can fetch the supplier part number and store it in the label created.
Since this information is not stored in the Warehouse Task, we do not fill the Supplier Part Number when we create Label with reference to Warehouse Tasks.
Resolution
Hence, we would like to suggest to you the following steps to create Label with reference to Inbound Delivery Notification so that you are able to see Supplier Part Number:
- Go to Inbound Logistics work center and Labels view.
- Click on New Labels and Add Row with Reference to Inbound Delivery Notification.
- Enter the relevant Inbound Delivery Notification ID and choose OK.
- Go to Inbound Information subtab tab and check Supplier Part Number is fetched for the line item.
