3441476 - Data Source Yield & Scrap Displays ‘Not assigned’ in Row Field ‘Scrap Reason’

You have confirmed scrap quantity with deviation reason for repointing point in a production task. However, check corresponding production lot in standard data source Yield & Scrap (SCMYASU01), row field ‘Scrap Reason’ displays ‘Not assigned’.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. In work center Supply Planning, open common task New Planning Proposal, create a new production proposal manually, release it to production request.
2. Create a new production order on basis of this production request.
3. Release this production order.
4. Open a make task of this production order. Click Confirm.
5. Maintain some quantity for Confirmed Scrap. Select Tool broken for Deviation Reason. Click Save.
6. Click Change Status - Finish.
7. Click OK in pop-up window.
8. Go to work center Business Analytics, access view Design Data Source. Find data source  "Yield & Scrap" (SCMYASU01), click Preview.
9. Enter the production lot ID you just worked on in filter Production Lot ID. Click Apply.
10. Select View, click button + on Row Fields, search Scrap Reason and add it.
11. In the result, Scrap Reason is Not assigned.

Data source Yield & Scrap (SCMYASU01) is providing the quantities of yield and scrap recorded for a production order. That means total confirmed and scrap quantities of each reporting point of production lot/order. However, Deviation reason(scrap reason) is a field at production confirmation level rather than production lot - reporting point level. For example: production lot - reporting point - RP01 has three production confirmations, CONF1,CONF2,CONF3.

CONF1 has 0 scrap quantity.

CONF2 has 1 scrap quantity with tool broken as scrap reason.

CONF3 has 2 scrap quantity with material damage as scrap reason.
 
Hence, Yield & Scrap (SCMYASU01) will not display anything in the scrap reason since there are multiples reasons from multiple confirmations, and it is not reasonable to display any one of them.

Here this data source only gives the reporting point level data with scrap and confirmed quantities but not confirmations level data.

This is standard behavior of data source Yield & Scrap. Please use standard report Confirmation Journal (SCMCFJU01_Q0001) to check deviation reason of production confirmation.
