3442250 - "500 Internal server error" java.lang.UnsupportedClassVersionError when trying to deploy agent applications on Agent Administration

Symptom

When trying to deploy agent applications on Application deployment tab of Agent Administration, the following error appears:

"java.lang.UnsupportedClassVersionError: com/sap/smd/core/runtime/Runtime has been complied by a more recent version of the Java Runtime (class file version 52.0), this version of the Java Runtime only recognizes class file versions up to 50.0"
