Symptom
- Dimensions shows "No Value" in chart/table when there is a linked model in SAP Analytics Cloud embed edition(eSAC) in SAP Cloud for Customer(C4C).
- Some of the dimensions are from primary model and other of them are from secondary model.
- The same dimension has members if no linked model, and these members have same linked dimension values.
Environment
- SAP Cloud for Customer core applications 2402
- SAP Analytics Cloud embedded edition (eSAC)
Reproducing the Issue
- Access C4C url.
- Go to Business Analytics- Design story.
- Create a new story with data source Opportunity Header and Opportunity Item.
- Link Opportunity Header and Opportunity Item with below setting:
- Opportunity Header is primary model, which has Employee, Opportunity, Opportunity ID as dimensions.
- Opportunity Item is secondary model, which has Product, Opportunity, Opportunity ID as dimensions.
- The models are linked on ID of dimension 'Opportunity' and 'Opportunity ID'.
- Link Type=all primary data.
- Unlinked dimensions Options= Merge Members.
- Create a chart/table with below settings:
- Dimension: Employee, Product
- Measure: Count
- For each dimension Employee and Product, it shows 'No Value' on the chart.
- Create tables with each model separately, both Employee and Product has many members sharing same value on Opportunity and Opportunity ID.
- Create a table with only Model Opportunity Header, add Employee, Opportunity and Opportunity ID as dimensions, members can be listed normally.
- Create a table with only Model Opportunity Item, add Product, Opportunity and Opportunity ID as dimensions, members can be listed normally.
- There exists several rows which can be linked by Opportunity and Opportunity ID, which means the 'No Value' in chart is wrong.
Cause
Several items in the story are not working: the link "Opportunity"; the link "Opportunity ID" on ID; the dimension "Employee".
Resolution
Remove or replace the not-working objects as a workaround. Then, the data can be displayed as expected.
- Remove the link "Opportunity".
- Change the link "Opportunity ID" to link on ID from both models.
- Change the dimension "Employee" to "Employee ID".
