Symptom
The DQM service's address lookup is utilizing country codes that are currently inactive in C4C. You are in search of a viable method to align these codes with the active ones in the C4C system, specifically for Regions and States.

Reproducing the Issue
- Go to the Customer work center.
- Go to the Account work center view.
- Create a new account.
- Fulfill the Postal Code, which returns region code ABC (where ABC means the Country code ID).
The expectation is the DQM would derive only the active region code AB.
Cause
The underlying issue with the DQM service appears to be rooted in its method of determining the country. The current setup of the DQM service designates the Region based on the provided Postal Code. However, this has resulted in a situation where the region code, which is automatically derived from the Postal Code, does not match with the active region codes in the C4C system. This discrepancy has the potential to interfere with the correct operation of the DQM service within the C4C system. Resolution
To align the DQM service country codes with the ones in C4C, you would follow these steps:
- Log in to your C4C system.
- From the work center view, select the “Business Configuration” option.
- Click on “Business Configuration” and then choose “Overview”.
- Search for Fine-tuning activity "Regions".
- In the new screen, search for the desired Country and click.
- You will see a list of Active regions. Check the box to set the status to “Inactive”.
- Now, navigate to DQM service settings.
- Open the settings of DQM and change the country codes to match those of C4C.
