3442981 - Composite Object access to private folder in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) & SAP Digital Boardroom

Symptom

Other users were still able to see the composite object after it being saved in a private folder. The creator of the composite object has not shared it with any user.

 

Environment

SAP Analytics Cloud (Enterprise)  2024.2.8

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Login SAC;
  2. Create a composite object and saved it in a privet folder (do not share with anyone);
  3. Create a story and used this composite object in the story;
  4. Other users were still able to see the composite object. 

Cause

Other users have permission to access the private files. 

Resolution

Disabling Manage Access to Private Files in users' role.
