3443079 - Retrieve Follow-Up Sales Document PDF Error

You are trying to retrieve Sales Quote Preview from an Opportunity and getting error message like or similar as below:

"Preview PDF not available for external sales quote "

or 

"Cannot invoke \"com.fasterxml.jackson.databind.JsonNode.get(String)\" because the return value of \"com.fasterxml.jackson.databind.JsonNode.get(String)\" is null"

Cloud for Service and Sales Version 2

S/4Hana Cloud 

1. Log in C4C system
2. Open Guided Selling
3. Open Opportunity ID
4. Navigate to Section Sales Quotes
5. Click on Show More (3 dots button)
6. Click on Preview

The issue is happening to an external Quote (External ID) from your S/4Hana Tenant.

• You have ensured to maintain the template ID for Sales quote in Select form template settings and it is active.
• The preview from a random local sales quote works also fine.
• In S4Hana Cloud system, while trying to activate "Retrieve Follow-Up Sales Document PDF from SAP S/4HANA" this Communication Scenario does not exist.

PDF Print Preview is not available for integration with S/4Hana Cloud Version

Print PDF preview for Sales Documents are not current available when C4C is integrated with S/4Hana Cloud only S/4Hana OnPrem version.

As alternative, SAP has delivered the External Link for Sales Quote and Sales Order Object which allows to launch the External Document from S/4Hana system, embedded in C4C.
