3443408 - Extension Field in Task Control is Greyed Out

You have created an extension field for Task Control Confirmation - Input Products, however when opening the confirmation screen you can see that the field cannot be edited.

1. Go to Production Control Work Center.
2. Enter the Task Control View.
3. Select one of the tasks from the list.
4. Click on the Confirm button.
5. Enter the sub-tab Input Products.
6. Here the field can be seen, however cannot be changed.

The extension field is created/extended to the incorrect Business Context. In order to have the field editable, it needs to be in the PRODUCTION LOT - MATERIAL_INPUT context.

You can check this by following the below steps:

1. Follow the steps described in the Steps to Reproduce section of this KBA.
2. Click on the avatar icon on the top right of the page.
3. Click on Key User Settings.
4. Click on Start Adaptation Mode.
5. Right-click on the extension field.
6. Click on the +Extension Fields button.
7. At the top of the pop-up that appears, you can see the business context.

In order to have the field in the correct context, you can either change the context and create a new field or extend an existing field to the PRODUCTION LOT - MATERIAL_INPUT context.
