3443867 - No Contact is Shown in Email Editor

Symptom

When Selecting To field on Email Editor there is no Contact Employee or Customer shown in the Search and following message is shown.

"No Result Cannot find results for the given search constraints."

Environment

SAP Service Cloud Version 2

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Cases.
  2. Open a Case.
  3. Select Email Option.
  4. Select the To field.
  5. No Contact, Employee or Customer is shown.

Resolution

This is an expected behaviour. No search result is shown if input text is empty and if there are no recently selected business partner (Contact/employee/Customer)

Search result will start showing result as soon as user starts typing.
Once a business partner is selected it will start appearing under recent selection (which comes when no search text is present).
