3444114 - "Send Mail" failed in SBPA

Symptom

When using a mail task in your SBPA project, you can see the process fails with: "Send Mail" failed.

In the detailed logs (found in the Monitoring tab), this is the error message:
The destination service did not return authorization data for destination 'sap_process_automation_mail' using authentication type 'OAuth2Password'. The error message returned was: 'AADSTS900144: The request body must contain the following parameter: 'scope'.
