Symptom

When trying to migrate to Job Profile Builder, the migration job fails with an error:

contextError={ Invalid job code: [#]. }, formatError={  }

Environment

  • SAP SuccessFactors Job Profile Builder
  • SAP SuccessFactors Job Description Manager

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Log in to system
  2. Navigate to Admin Center > Scheduled Job Manager
  3. In the Job Type dropdown, select JDM Old to New Sync
  4. Select View Details
  5. Error is present

Cause

Inactive job classifications are tied to roles

Resolution

To get the list of Invalid job codes:
  1. Log in to system
  2. Navigate to Scheduled Job Manager
  3. In the Job Type dropdown, select JDM Old to New Sync
  4. Select View Details
  5. Click Download status link
  6. The list of invalid job codes is downloaded

Invalid mappings can be removed in Manage data:

  1. Navigate to Manage data 
  2. Find the affected role 
  3. Click Take action> Make correction 
  4. Find the affected job code and press Remove (bin) button
  5. Click Save.

You can update job roles in bulk by Import/Export data tool.
