3444708 - Job Profile Builder Migration Error: contextError={ Invalid job code: [#]. }, formatError={ }

Symptom

When trying to migrate to Job Profile Builder, the migration job fails with an error:

contextError={ Invalid job code: [#]. }, formatError={ }

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Job Profile Builder
SAP SuccessFactors Job Description Manager

Reproducing the Issue

Log in to SuccessFactors
Navigate to Admin Center > Scheduled Job Manager
In the Job Type dropdown, select JDM Old to New Sync
Select View Details
Error is present

Cause

Inactive job classifications or jobcodes are tied to active roles
Invalid jobcodes are present in the system (not mapped to an active user)

Resolution

Retrieve the list of invalid job codes or job classication:

Log in to SuccessFactors
Navigate to Scheduled Job Manager
In the Job Type dropdown, select JDM Old to New Sync
Select View Details
Click Download status link

Remove invalid mappings using one of the below options

Option 1: Manage Data (one by one):
1. Follow the steps in Implementing the Metadata Framework (MDF) - Reviewing and Updating MDF Object Records for each role in the downloaded file.
2. Locate the invalid job code from the file and select the trash bin icon to delete it > Save
3. Repeat the process for each role and invalid job code in the file
Option 2: Import and Export (in bulk): Utilizing the downloaded file, follow the steps in Implementing the Metadata Framework (MDF) - Using Delimit Functionality for MDF Entities to use DELIMIT for the Role-Job Codes generic object.

Remove invalid jobcodes or make the jobcode active

Compare the role-jobcode file that you have exported previously with the employee export
Remove any jobcodes that are not tied to active users by using delimit option.
