Symptom
When we configure the business rule with "Trigger onChange Rules for HRIS Elements" rule scenario, Attachment field cannot be set.
Environment
SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central - Business Rule
Reproducing the Issue
- Navigate to Configure Business Rules > select '+' (Create New Rule).
- Select Employee Central Core > Trigger onChange Rules for HRIS Elements.
- Fill the Rule Name, Rule ID and Base object as Employment Details Model.
- In the Configure Business Rules page, in 'THEN' condition, select "Set".
- Next, we will not be able to find "attachment" field to set the field property.
Resolution
- Engineering Team have confirmed that "Trigger onChange Rules for HRIS Elements" rule-based scenario does not support modification of Attachment Id, Event Reason and Start Date.
- ECT-232552 will handle modification of metadata properties 'required' and 'visibility' of the attachment field. Existing basic rules would continue to work in 2405 release.
- This is an internal ticket ECT-232552 and as a customer you will not have access to it. However, you may please reach out to your CSM to track the progress and the status updates.
