Symptom
This document has been created to address situations in which users are receiving unwanted email notifications from Execution Manager Dashboard in SAP SuccessFactors
When checking the Manage Notification configurations in Execution Manager Dashboard you are unable to find any record of this notification configuration
As a result, you are unable to stop these email notifications from being triggered
Example of this type of email notification:
Image/data in this KBA is from SAP internal systems, sample data, or demo systems. Any resemblance to real data is purely coincidental.
Environment
- SAP SuccessFactors HXM Suite
- Execution Manage Dashboard
Cause
The Process Definition notification configuration is User-specific & only visible to the user who has configured it in Execution Manager Dashboard > Manage Notification
If another user accesses this section in attempts of validating if a notification has been configured, they will see the below screen (unless they also have configured a notification):
Resolution
There is 2 ways to configure notifications via Execution Manager Dashboard > Manage Notification
- Process Type:
In this section you enter an email address & choose what process state(s) which you require notifications for (Completed Successfully, In Progress, Failed, etc.)
The notification will be triggered for all job types which end in the selected state(s)
PLEASE NOTE: these configurations / email will be visible to any user who has access to Execution Manager Dashboard
- Process Definition:
In this section, no email address is entered & the notifications can be segmented for each type of Process Definition Identifier
The notification will be sent to the email address stored in the: User/email field of the userId that configured the notification
PLEASE NOTE: these configurations will only be visible to the user who has configured it & only this user will be able to delete it
This is particularly useful for job type other than Integration Center where there will be more Process Definition Identifier(s) available for configuration (e.g. Scheduled Job)
To delete Process Definition notification configuration:
- The user must access Execution Manager Dashboard > Manage Notification to delete it themselves
OR
- You can Proxy to that user & access Execution Manager Dashboard > Manage Notification to delete it
