Unable to filter a Production Model using an extension field.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to Production Control work center.
2. Go to Production Order By Order Header view.
3. Select All Production Orders.
4. Go to column Production Model and filter by ABC (ABC means Production Model ID).
5. System doesn't find it and the following warning message is displayed: "The data cannot be displayed completely. Sorting and Filtering are not reliable since the number of hits is too large. Reduce the number of search hits by restricting the search criteria."

As the warning message says, the filtering might not work due to the amount of records that displays in this particular view.

To maintain system performance, list will show 10,000 records by default if a search parameter is not entered in the Search field.

Filtering for this particular field is not working due to the amount of data is available for this screen.

However, if the steps below are followed, filtering will work properly:

1. Go to the Production Control work center and then Production Orders.
2. Show All Production Orders.
3. Open Advanced Search, icon nearby the Search field.
4. Maintain the Product ID as DEF (DEF means Product ID).
5. Click Go.
6. System will return records.
7. Perform the filter for the Production Model as ABC, for example.
8. System will return records with this Production Model.
