Symptom
- The standard token [[CANDIDATE_PROFILE_GENDER]] resolves to code "M" or "F" instead of "Male" or "Female".
- The behavior is the same when using "gender" as a custom job application / candidate profile token.
Environment
SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting Management
Reproducing the Issue
- Use the token [[CANDIDATE_PROFILE_GENDER]] in email notifications.
- Observe that the token resolves to "M" or "F" instead of "Male" or "Female".
Resolution
The standard "gender" field only displays three values "F", "M", and "U" in email notifications and reports.
To customize the values, you can utilize a custom field.
- Create a Gender picklist in Picklist Center.
- Create a custom picklist field for Gender in Job Application Template / Candidate Profile Template.
- Set the custom gender field as a custom token at Provisioning -> Managing Recruiting -> Configure Custom Tokens.
- Insert the custom token in email templates.
