3446486 - Maximum Successive Failed Sign In Attempts shows 10 instead of 5 - Recruiting Management

Symptom

The number for "Maximum Successive Failed Sign In Attempts" in "Password and Login Policy Settings for External Candidates and Agencies" in the Admin Center is set to 10 and cannot be changed. However, in that page and also in the Recruiting Guides, it says 5.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to "Password and Login Policy Settings for External Candidates and Agencies" in the Admin Center
  2. There you will see the number 10 for the “Maximum Successive Failed Sign In Attempts” but it should be 5

Resolution

This behavior will be fixed within the 2H 2024 release and the maximum successive failed attempts will be fixed in 5.
