3446506 - Access to SAP Analytics Cloud BTP Global Account.

Symptom

"Image/data in this KBA is from SAP internal systems, sample data, or demo systems. Any resemblance to real data is purely coincidental." 

When accessing SAC > System > Administration > Data Source Configuration, users can see "SAP BTP Core Account" section showing the Subaccount of the tenant

As customers are generally responsible for managing their own BTP subaccounts, it is common for them to create Product Support incidents requesting the assignment of administrator email addresses for the SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) subaccount and the SAC Global Account.

SAP Analytics Cloud.

Reproducing the Issue

Example of requests:

"There is nobody in our company with administrative access to our SAP Analytics Cloud subaccount in BTP and the depending global account".

"Subaccount ID is <SAC subaccount>"

"Can you provide my user <email> administrative access in BTP for the global and the subaccount?"

Resolution

Product Support do not assign users to SAC subaccount neither its Global Account.

  • Customers don't need to access SAC subaccount as this application is totally managed by SAP (Software as a Service - SaaS).
  • The users who can manage the subaccount are the ones involved in the Cloud Connector configuration. (referenced KBA).

  • Customers may also contact Product Support indicating that the SAC subaccount is not visible in the BTP Cockpit. The following KBA explains the reason for this behavior:
