3446887 - Retention policy for logs in OpenSearch and blob storage

In accordance to with the documentation, the retention for OpenSearch and blob storage depends on the environment type.

Currently, there are two limits for the amount of logs: time retention and storage size. 

For production and stage environments you have 200GB space for logs (+ 200Gb for replicas) with 75% retention policy, which gives about 150Gb of space for logs.

For dev environments you have 150GB space for logs (+ 150Gb for replicas) with 75% retention policy, which gives about 112.5Gb of space for logs. 

This means that logs in the production environment will be available for 90 days or less if the 150Gb disk is filled earlier.
In case of stage environment, it is 30 days or 150Gb.
For development environment it is 30 days or 112.5Gb.

It is also possible to buy CLS Large for your production environment which gives you 5Tb space for logs (+ 5Tb for replicas) with 75% retention policy, which gives about 3750Gb of space for logs. There is also retention period of 90 days.

Logs are additionally stored on blob storage. Files are compressed and available for 90 days for production environment and for 30 days for stage and development environment currently there is no limit for the storage size.
