Symptom
- Business rule to create compensation information record didn't get triggered when importing pay component recurring.
- After performing pay component recurring import event reason is not updated.
- New compensation information record is not created after importing pay component recurring records.
Environment
SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central
Reproducing the Issue
- From Import Employee Data perform Pay component recurring import.
- Expected result is new compensation information record gets created with import data.
- Actual result if the compensation information record on the mentioned date already exists the existing record is updated, except event reason which remains same as before.
Cause
- A new compensation information record will only be created, if there is no compensation information record.
- Only changes to the pay component data being imported are checked hence rule for compensation information related fields will not get triggered.
Resolution
- This behavior of:
- checking only pay component related changes
- not triggering compensation information changes related business rules
- not updating event reason when updating existing compensation information record
- not creating new compensation record as the date mentioned in import file matches existing compensation record
via pay component recurring record is working as per design.
