3447136 - Error: Business Object attribute for property ETag not found. Adjust the service.

Symptom

You cannot use the custom OData due to an error: Business Object attribute for property ETag not found. Adjust the service.

Environment

SAP Cloud for Customer

Reproducing the Issue

1. Go to the "Administrator" work center.
2. Open "OData Service Explorer" >"Custom OData Services".
3. Look for the service > click on "Test" to open OData Console.
4. Select "ExchangeRateCollection".
5. Execute (GET).
Result: Error

Cause

There is an inconsistence in the backend configuration.

Resolution

Open a case to the support team asking to delete the property ETag from the backend.
Note that after removing it, if you delete and re-add 'Root' entity then issue will reoccur.
