3447417 - BCP (Bulk Copy) operation hang without any error message - SAP ASE

Symptom

  • BCP application freeze.
  • No data are sent from BCP into ASE Server.
  • No error message reported in the errorlog of the ASE Server.
  • No error message reported from bcp client application.
  • Executing a the command dbcc stacktrace in ASE Server for the bcp thread reports the following function at the beginning of the trace:
        upsleepgeneric
        sendbuffer
        sendhost
