3448006 - Not able to edit and save a story in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)

• Users are not able to edit and save a story in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC). They are getting the message "You're having a read-only view of story, as it contains scripting elements".
• Role has Read and Update permissions in the "Application" object at the role level.
• Users have edit access to the story at the folder level.

SAP Analytics Cloud (Enterprise) 2024.2.8

1. Access the story.
2. Switch to Edit mode.
3. An error popup appears "You're having a read-only view of story, as it contains scripting elements.".
4. Press 'OK'.
   ---> the story is in Edit mode. 
5. The save button is missing from the story.

This is By Design.

• Add the Create permission to the "Application" object in order to be able to save a story that contains scripting.
