3448238 - Infected with 11 at os_schedcoma on AIX - SAP ASE

Symptom

  • Running SAP Adaptive Server Enterprise on the AIX platform.
  • The ASE is configured to run in kernel mode = process.
  • The operating system was upgraded to include a recent libc version that includes the fix for APAR: IJ35998: IN RARE CASES JFS2 AIO_RETURN() HAS A STALE VALUE APPLIES TO AIX 7200-05 .
  • ASE fails to boot with the signal 11 with the following stacktrace:
    keipanic.fdpr.chunk.1
    kechkfault
    kisignal.fdpr.chunk.2
    os_schedcoma
    kpcheckio.fdpr.chunk.7
