3448370 - Decimal part of a number is not imported into the model when import data from OData service in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)

Symptom

  • When import data from OData service connection which is exposed from HANA cloud, the decimal part is omitted, although the measure is set to decimal type in the model in SAC. Like 100.99 is changed to 100.
  • Correct decimal data is returned when use other OData client tool like Postman. 

Environment

SAP Analytics Cloud Version: 2024.2.8

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Login to SAC.
  2. Create a new model using OData services connection.
  3. Select query.
  4. Select dimension and measure to the query panel.
  5. After data is imported, notice that decimal part of measure are not ignored, although it is set to decimal type.
  6. While test using Postman to fetch data, decimals can be returned.

This issue is currently under investigation by development.
