3448440 - Issues related to the calendar integration with the Microsoft Office 365 in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)

As of QRC1 2024, a new feature of the direct integration between SAP Analytics Cloud Calendar Processes and Microsoft Office 365 is available.

Although the blog SAP Analytics Cloud Calendar integration into Microsoft Office 365 (incl. Microsoft Teams) is followed, you still experience some issues.

• Issue 1:
  Error when creating a new calendar task:
  Need admin approval
  needs permission to access resources in your organization that only an admin can grant. Please ask an admin to grant permission to this app before you can use it.

• SAP Analytics Cloud (Enterprise) 2024.Q1 and higher versions

• Cause of issue 1:
  • "User consent settings" is set to "Do not allow user consent"
    OR
  • the required API permission is not granted

• Solution of issue 1:
  • Select the "Allow user consent for apps" in the "User consent settings" as per the Microsoft link Configure how users consent to applications.
  • Manually add the permission "Calendars.ReadWrite" to the API permissions of the App registration and Grant admin consent.
