3448476 - A user task sleeps on xls_flush_plcqueue() and never wakes up - SAP ASE 16.0

Symptom

  • You may find a sleeping user task in xls_flush_plcqueue() and it never wakes up.

  • A staled XA transaction in detached mode cannot be released. dbcc compete_xact/forget_xact does not work.

  • When you run dbcc stacktrace against the spid, you will see :

    upsleepgeneric
    xls_flush_plcqueue
    plc__flush
    xls_preflush
    xls_close_on_detach
    xact__detach_external
    xact_detach
    xactdetachrpc
