3448746 - Migration Object's template file has changed or is different between TEST and PROD systems

When using the Migrate Your Data app and interacting with Migration Objects in its Migration Projects, it was noticed that:

• The template file of a Migration Object has changed; OR
• The template file of a Migration Object is different among TEST (T), QUALITY (Q) and/or PRODUCTION (P) systems.

SAP S/4HANA Cloud, Public Edition.

1. Open the Fiori Launchpad.
2. Select the Migrate Your Data app.
3. Open a Migration Project.
4. Download the template file of one of its Migration Objects.

The template file of the Migration Object was changed in SAP S/4HANA Cloud's new release.

Twice a year, SAP S/4HANA Cloud, Public Edition, is upgraded, which might result in changes being to the Migration Cockpit, and more specifically, to Migration Objects and its template files. Additionally, such upgrades are delivered earlier to Quality, Starter and other similar systems (for instance, Sandbox systems), while Production systems are upgraded 2 weeks later.

The general changes after each release can be verified in the "Overview" tab at the left of the page, while in the tab "Comparison of Migration Object Templates", the specific changes of each Migration Object can be checked regarding each release version.

If the template file of a Migration Object being used changes, it's strongly recommended to start using its updated template file as soon as possible in the Migration Projects in progress.
