Symptom

When user attempts to release the hours, an error occurs initially, but upon the subsequent attempt, the hours are successfully released when user clicks again.

Environment

SAP Business ByDesign

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Project Management work center
  2. Select Projects
  3. Search for the project ABC(ABC represents the project name)
  4. Select View All
  5. Navigate to Work tab 
  6. Select Add Row and record time for any day and Release

The below Error pops up

Error : Change of employee time not possible; backup or cancelled item

 

 

Cause

The custom PDI class is causing the issue and triggering error message. 

Resolution

Check with your Implementation partner to check the custom solution and correct the issue.
