3449449 - Master Layout Has Rule Functionality To Be Used, But Custom Layout Doesn't.

Symptom

Master layout has rule functionality to be used, but custom layout doesn't. 

Environment

SAP Cloud for Customer

Reproducing the Issue

An example of scenario can be: 

  1. Open Utilities WOC View.
  2. Click on Contract Account OWL.
  3. Check for a specific record and open it.
  4. Start adaptation and check that, for Master, a certain tab can have a custom rule for visibility.
  5. Notice that the same is not true for a custom layout.

Cause

Such configurations are defined on the master layout level. The administrator user defines the rule on the master layout and that is replicated for the custom layouts.

Resolution

You can then add the Business Role to the rule that will be applied.
