3449915 - Cannot delete quote Statuses in CPQ. Error "There are quotes currently in this status. Status cannot be deleted!"

Symptom

When attempting to delete a Quote status in SAP CPQ, we are given the following error.



 "Image/data in this KBA is from SAP internal systems, sample data, or demo systems. Any resemblance to real data is purely coincidental." 

Environment

SAP SALES CLOUD CPQ

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Open SAP CPQ setup
  2. Open Workflow/Approval 
  3. Open Statuses
  4. Click on 3 dots next to any status
  5. Click Delete.

Cause

The cause is that phantom quotes in the database will need to be removed. 

Resolution

Engage the SAP CPQ operations team to delete the phantom quotes in your tenant.
